In a highly anticipated move, the iconic White Cliffs of Dover became a canvas for a unique projection, a nod to the popular BBC show's finale. Hosted by the charismatic Claudia Winkleman, The Traitors has captivated audiences with its intense gameplay, where 22 contestants navigate a treacherous path to uncover the traitors among them.
The projection, a clever twist on Winkleman's signature phrase, "the time for talk is over," now reads: "The time for chalk is almost over." It's a playful reference to the show's setting and the impending end of the game.
Susan Ayton, the creative director behind this display, explains, "The Traitors has taken the nation by storm, and we wanted to celebrate its final week with a bang." And what a celebration it is!
But here's where it gets controversial... The projection also features the show's logo and firepit imagery, a subtle hint at the truth-seeking firepit in the finale. Contestants use this firepit to decide their fate, voting to either continue the game or end it. The color of the fire reveals their choice - red for banishment, green for game over.
