Kenneth Llover aims to cap 2025 with an OPBF title defense, and the stakes feel higher than ever. In a high-stakes showdown, the Filipino rising star will face China’s Ayati Sailike on December 27 at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Japan, seeking to seal a breakout year with another victory. The 22-year-old contender is set to defend his OPBF bantamweight title, marking his fourth pro fight of 2025.
“This is my last bout of the year, and I’m determined to deliver a strong performance to retain the OPBF bantamweight belt,” Llover stated.
Llover arrives in strong form after a commanding October showing, where he stopped Argentina’s Luciano Baldor in the opening round, pushing his record to a flawless 16-0. Notably, all three of his wins this year have come by knockout or stoppage, underscoring his finishing power.
His longtime mentor, former two-division world champion Gerry Peñalosa, believes the Caviteño is nearing a world title opportunity, particularly as several key spots in the IBF bantamweight rankings sit vacant. “But the immediate challenge remains. He cannot afford to overlook Sailike,” Peñalosa cautioned.
