Remembering Norma Jean Coulson: A Life Well-Lived (2026)

It's with a heavy heart that we remember Norma Jean Coulson, a woman whose life was a testament to love and resilience. She peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener, surrounded by her beloved family.

Norma Jean, known affectionately as wife, Mama, Gammie, baby sis, and friend, leaves behind a legacy of warmth and affection. Her absence will be deeply felt by her devoted husband, John, her son Jiraiya, and her cherished fur babies, Bam Bam and Finnigan. She was a cherished sister to Jim Williams, Claire Hadden, and Cynthia Bell. She was pre-deceased by Ted Williams and Debra Costa.

Norma embraced life with an unparalleled enthusiasm, a spirit that shone brightly despite the challenges of her illnesses. She navigated life with a grace and beauty that was truly remarkable. And this is the part most people miss: Her passion for cooking was at its finest when she was preparing meals for those she loved.

But here's where it gets controversial... We extend our deepest gratitude to the extraordinary nurses and doctors of the Guelph General ICU and St. Mary’s ICU. They provided more than just medical care; they created a peaceful and compassionate environment during Norma's final transition.

The spring interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brombal Funeral Home, located at 1 Delhi Street, Guelph.
